Ever been eyeing up a product for weeks but kept putting off buying it? This was me with the Bourjois Color Edition 24H Cream to Powder Eyeshadow in the shade Prune Nocturne. Something about the colour grabbed my attention and after swatching, i knew I had to have it. A rather recent release, this range has had a lot of positive reviews so I had really high hopes and finally snatched it up last week. As has been already stated, the packaging is very similar to that of Maybelline's Colour Tattoos and Mac’s Paint Pots, although the actual product is completely different. Prune Nocturne, a maroon with hints of purple, red and brown, swatches heavily, seeming very pigmented although when applied to the lid it’s more sheer. Due to the powder finish, it’s very easy to blend making it work both on its own and accompanied by other eyeshadows. I prefer to use this with a flat brush over my fingers, as it not only applies more evenly but blends alot more seamlessly.

I would like to tell you that this is an amazing product, but one important factor let’s it down. The longevity. It creases within 2 hours on me, even wearing a primer and accompanied by other shadows. Putting a setting powder on top did prolong it, but not for too much longer. On the slightly more positive side, because of the formula the shadow can easily be blended back out again with a finger. But I don’t want to be doing that! I want an eyeshadow that’s going to stick around all day without me having to touch up. I really do wish this worked on me, as for the first two hours of wear, I'm in love with it. Don’t get me wrong, the creasing isn’t bad. Just one line across the fold/crease of my eyelid, but I expect a product which claims to last 24 hours to stay put. If it lasted longer, i guarantee this would have become my “go to” eyeshadow colour.

Pros: Beautiful colour, applies beautifully, blends easily, affordable.
Cons: Creases after 2 hours wear.

You can pick this up from Boots for £6.99.
