PVE Heroes: Malygos the Spell Weaver!

Heya! Here's the next part of my Warcraft PVE Heroes series. This look was inspired by Malygos the spell weaver, aspect of the blue Dragonflight. One of the most ancient creatures in Azeroth and raid boss to the Eye of Eternity raid, this dude went a little crazy during the war of the ancients. Since, he started to regain his sanity but decided mortals shouldn't wield magic, hence the drama that perused. I won’t go too far into it, but I love the lore surrounding the different Dragonflights! On with the look!

_DSC0064edit

The images didn't turn out as good as the actual look unfortunately. You get the gist though! I was abit strapped for time, so it definitely needs improvements. I am really not liking the eyeliner too much, but ah wells.

_DSC0024edit 180px-YoggMalygos

All the full face images I took sucked, but there was not much more to it than the blue contour really. I did this a while ago so can’t remember the exact products I used but I remember some of the shadows!

Eyes
UDPP, NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk, Inglot Matte 369, Sugarpill Afterparty, Sugarpill Tako, Sugarpill Royal Sugar, Illamasqua Medium Pencil in Errant, Rimmel Exaggerate Liquid Liner, MUFE Smoky Lash.

Overall I'm really not too keen on this, the pictures just do nothing for it. I really wanted to get a look up though, as I’ve not been wearing much makeup this month to post about.

What’s your favourite dragonflight? What makeup do you wear in the summer months?

NOTD: Minty Sparkle!

So it looks like summer is finally here in the UK! For me that means cracking out the bright nail polish. I love to wear pastel nail shades in the summer, more so than any other colour range. Barry M has to be one of my favourite brands for this, though I have been eyeing some Essie polishes like no tomorrow.

OPI Base Coat
Barry M Mint Green
China Glaze Fairy Dust
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri

There's something about minty greens that have me hooked at the moment. I want everything mint! It’s like my yellow obsession last year, everything had to be yellow! Not that I ever branch into coloured clothing much, being abit of a goth kid I rarely wear anything but black!

What's your favourite pastel colour? Do you have a favourite Barry M nail polish?

That’s What She Said: Darling Girl Cosmetics Review Kit!

I’m going through a bit of an indie kick at the moment, lusting after countless products by several different companies. Unfortunately, money is tight so I can mostly only devour their websites and pine. I came across the “Blogger Review Kit” from Darling Girl Cosmetics last month, for only $1 plus shipping it gave me some new pretties to play with and temporarily sated my cravings.

_DSC0017edit

Darling Girl is a Texas based company established in June 2010, owner Susan states on the Home Page that everyone at every budget should be able to have quality affordable makeup.
The Review Kit comes with 4 loose shadows or loose blushes and 1 lip product of your choice. I chose 3 eye shadows in London Calling, Totally Teal and Midnight Sea, Pixie Soft Focus Blush and Colour Rich Lip Balm in Daphne. I was happy to see two extra eye shadows samples also, in Uprising and Mean Streets of Passadena.

_DSC0001edit _DSC0011edit

The turnaround time is abit longer with indie companies but I received my shipping notice earlier than expected. The sample baggies each contain 1/8 tsp of product, more than enough for a few uses. To be honest, I don't think I've ever even finished a sample bag. My favourite so far has to be Midnight Sea followed closely by Totally Teal. I have no complaints at all about the application or wear time. The below swatches (apart from the blush) are show wet with Mac Fix+ and dry.

Pixie Soft Focus Blush: Pinkish mauve with a satin finish.
London Calling: Indigo base with heavy red shift.
Totally Teal: Matte teal base with red/pink "diamond dust" glitter.
Midnight Sea: Matte, royal purple base with turquoise shift.
Uprising: Colour-shifting copper laid over a black base.
Mean Streets of Pasadena: Mix of royal blue and purple with blue and purple sparkles.

Full sizes come in a 5g jar with 3/4 tsp of product priced at $5.90.
Petite sizes come in a 3g jar with 1/4 tsp of product priced at $2.50.

Kiss You Off: Color Rich Lip Balm in Daphne: Magenta ribboned with delicate, lavender sparkles.

Daphne has an average wear time, is moisturising and gives a decent colour payoff. The full size contains 0.07 oz of product and comes in a slime line lipbalm tube priced at $5.25.
I’m overall pretty impressed by Darling Girl Cosmetics and am really looking forward to trying some more of their products in the future, especially some lip glosses.

Have you ever tried Darling Girl? What are your favourite products?

Just writing this post I’m getting a tonne of motivation to blog some more. I have been a little down recently and looking to keep myself busy, so I would love to hear what you guys want to see from me in the next few weeks! Got a lot of makeup and hardly use any of it! That needs to change =]

That’s What She Said: Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover!

I have a kind of love hate relationship with nail polish. I love wearing it, hell the brighter and bolder the better. I hate removing it. Nail polish never lasts more than 2 days without chipping on me, and I seriously hate the process if taking it off so much!

_DSC0030edit

Last month I saw a few reviews of the new Bourjois Magic Nail Polish remover and knew I had to have it! Now getting my hands on it was a whole other matter! I looked everywhere for the 2 weeks after its launch, until I managed to score one in Boots.
At £4.99 I really couldn’t be without this. It is by far the best, and easiest nail polish remover I have ever tried. You just dip your finger into the sponge, twist a little then voila! Bang and the colour’s gone (I’m so cheesy)! Glitter polishes take abit more twisting of course. It claims to have a red fruit and vanilla fragrance, which i can confirm when you remove your finger. Don’t do what I did and take a sniff from the tub, it’s not a pleasant smell let me tell you that.

_DSC0034edit

I wouldn’t say its moisturising, well compared to other nail polish removers it is, but I still use my LUSH Lemony Flutter afterwards.
Overall I really recommend this product. It by far makes changing my nail colour so much easier and less of a chore. You can get this from Boots or Superdrug (If you can get your hands on the damn thing)!

Have you tried the magic nail polish remover? What do you use to remove your nail polish currently?

That’s What She Said: OCC Lip Tars in Anime, Hoochie & Cha Cha!

Not the easiest to apply, but I really don’t know what I would do without OCC (Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics) Lip Tars when it comes to a bold lip.

_DSC0094edit

With shades ranging from wearable to the damn right crazy, there is definitely something for everyone. The application is tricky for first time users. You will need a lip brush or the colour will just go all over the place and look a mess. Once on thought they don't budge for hours.

The packaging is a sleek tube each containing 8ML of product, though recently OCC has changed the look of the Lip Tars so they have a finer nozzle (amongst a few other changes).

_DSC0081edit _DSC0100edit

I picked up three of these babies at IMATS in February and oh my! I wish I would have gotten some more.
Anime – A seriously shocking bright pink.
Hoochie – A deep purple.
Cha Cha – A light peach.
All the colours can be sheered out depending on how much you use.

_DSC0114edit_DSC0120edit

Out of all three Anime is my most worn though Hoochie is probably my favourite. I never wear Cha Cha because honestly, its not my colour. They don’t dry the lips at all and just generally look and feel absolutely stunning. I will 100% be picking up more of these when I can spare the pennies.

Us Brits can get the Lip Tars here at £9.50 for the new packaging =]
You can see a FOTD of me wearing Anime here and one of me wearing Hoochie here!

That’s What She Said: Victorian Disco World of Lipcraft Lipgloss in Pally Heals!

I’m not much of a lip-gloss girl really, as I don't like the sticky texture some can have (though some of my favourites are a little sticky). Mouth full of hair? No Thanks! So when I do find a lip-gloss I like, I'll exhaust it very quickly! One such product is the Victorian Disco Lipcraft Lipglosses! Come on, more Warcraft themes! Your really spoiling us here aren't you VD <3

_DSC0150edit_DSC0156edit

Pally Heals* is described as a light pink with a golden duo chrome flash, the colour is absolutely gorgeous. Basic yet complex!

_DSC0154edit

I'm actually very surprised and pleased with the wear time of this beauty. It lasts about 3-4 hours on my lips! Impressive for a gloss. I don't even notice its on to be honest, the texture is just so smooth and moisturising.

_DSC0134edit_DSC0131editflash
[Top – Without Flash, Bottom – With Flash]

Sorry for the dry lips above haha!
They come in a tube with a doe foot applicator (the samples coming in a 5g jar). There is also a choice of what flavour you want your gloss to be! You can get the full size (5.9ml) here for $8.
I am 100% going to be ordering full sizes of Buffs Plz and Space Goat some time soon! Pretty pretty!

NOTD: OPI Ya’ll Come Back Ya Hear? Bright Orange Much!

Nailpolish is back! I think I'm officially out of my nail polish rut. As I mentioned a few posts back, I’ve not been wearing anything on my nails for at least a month. To be honest, they have been in worse condition for it. Using a polish stops them from breaking, peeling and bending, allowing me to have nice long nails!

_DSC0145edit

This colour really was an impulse buy when i went to London, as it was cheap and I didn’t have an orange in my collection, it was so justified!
I believe this from the Texas collection released Spring 2011. It applies really smoothly, probably needs about 4 coats and for the price I paid who can complain?

OPI Base Coat
OPI Ya’ll Come Back Ya Hear?
China Glaze Fairy Dust
Sally Hansen Insta-Dry

_DSC0143edit _DSC0134edit

The little bit of wear on the tips is because I was too impatient between coats and started putting some clothes in the washing machine. Oops! I also really couldn't resist adding abit of glitter as an accent nail!

Do you like OPI polishes? What's your favourite bright nail polish colour?

That’s What She Said: ES A613 Eyelashes!

It’s all about the lashes! Sparse and short are two words I would use to describe mine. It sucks, but that's what falsies are for!

_DSC0099edit

So today I have a false eyelash review for you! The ES A613’s* come in a box of ten. Handmade with a transparent stem, these beauties claim to make your eyes look bigger and more attractive. They feel really soft compared to some of the other pairs of lashes I have (Nouveau I'm looking at you!) which is really a plus for me. I don't want plasticy feeling things on my eyes.

_DSC0088edit _DSC0096edit

I’ve found they’re actually pretty easy to apply, more so than the Fero Beauty ones i was previously using. They add just enough length to make my eyes look abit more dramatic, but still natural! They most definitely open up my eyes more.

_DSC0167edit_DSC0160edit

I would still recommend lining the upper eye with black, especially if your not an expert on falsies. As you can see in the image below, they add gorgeous length to little lashed people (you can see a picture of my bare eye here)!

For those of you who want to know, my eye-shadow is Victorian Disco Frozen Throne* and Sin’dorei*.

_DSC0188edit

Priced at $14.90/£9.27 for 10 pairs, I get about 3-4 wears out of each set. You can buy the ES A813* at KKCenterHK Here! I really recommend checking them out. You can definitely expect to see them in some of my upcoming looks!
I have also kindly been offered a discount code for my readers! Enter bloodfeatherslipstick at the checkout for 10% off KKCenterHK products.

What is your favorite brand of falsies?
