Yesterdays Haul! MUA, Revlon, Primark!
I was wandering around Southampton yesterday and thought i would pick up a few bits, including more of the MUA range from Superdrug.
MUA Nail Varnish in Shades 1 & 3 - £1 each
MUA Lipstick in shade 2 - £1
MUA Eyebrow Pencil in Blonde £1
Revlon Top Coat - £6.49
2 pairs of Sunglasses - £2 & £3
Headband - £2
Now the sunglasses are self explanatory, and with the headband im feeling abit "summer hippy" so will be rocking the feathers look. These three were from primark!
Ive never really bothered about nail varnish before, but after watching alot of makeup videos with gurus have lovely nails, i decided to give it a try. My nails are in really bad condition, they're very weak and uneven, so i started just by buying 2 nice colours and a decent top coat. The MUA varnishes are amazingg! I used 2 coats, the colours standing out really well! The top coat is going well so far, no chips which is a surprise for me!
Ive been looking at expanding my lippy collection for a while. I have 2 other shades by MUA so thought i would invenst in a more pinky lilacy colour. Its really moisturising, the quality for its price is amazing!
Ive yet to properly test the eyeshadow pencil, me being more prone to shadows, but its got a cool little brush which really was the thing that made me pick it up haha!

Boots Vitamin e
I'm always up for buying and using new products, so I couldnt wait to get home and use my latest purchases! My current cleanser (Cetaphil, Gentle Skin Cleanser) was down to the last dregs, so off i went to boots to look for a new one! Cetaphil only sells in Lloyds Pharmacys, and feeling too lazy to look for one one, i searched for an alternative.
I am a poor student, so I didn't want anything too expensive! Theres a current deal on in boots, 2 for 3 on skincare products! After spending 15 mins browsings the shelves, half of the products utterly confuddling my brain, I decided upon "Boots Vitamin e 2 in 1 Cleansing Lotion", "Boots Vitamin e Gentle Exfoliating Face Wash" and "Boots Vitamin e facial Cleansing Wipes".
The wipes will purely be for removing my eye makeup, as i prefer cotton pads and cleanser to remove my facial makeup. But as i had no eyemakeup on yesterday, i couldnt see how good they were at removing it!
The cleanser I did use however! There was foundation covered cotton pads after but my skin felt a little greasy, what can one expect for £2.54 really though? It did feel really gentle on my skin though, not harsh at all!
After clensing I used the Gentle Exfoliating Face Wash. Its a light gel consistancy, and wow! It left my skin feeling amazingly smooth and fresh! I sprayed a little LUSH Breath of fresh air toner on afterwards, and wiped off with cotton pads and there was no makeup remenants left at all.
I think i'm deffinatly going to be using these products in combination again!
Wipes: £2.85
Cleanser: £2.54
Face Wash: £2.03

Envy: Beauty Photoshoot
Photography by Myself
Makeup by Charlotte ODell
(Model's name to be confirmed)
So latley i've been wanting to undertake beauty shoots in the studio. I've never really properly looked into beauty before, but now as my first year of uni comes near an end, I wish to start focusing on what i want to do in my life. I'm going to build up a strong portfolio over these next 2 years, of beauty and fashion, so hopefully my dreams can become a reality. This is my third ever beauty shoot (All three which have been shot in the past week) working with third year hair stylist and makeup artist, Charlotte ODell, her theme being "Envy". I believe this is my best beauty shoot out of the three, the lighting is spot on. The editing could do with a tweek, but I can develop those skills over time. I'm really proud of this image for one, its came out beautifully with very minimal editing. Hopefully this is a good sign for what is to come ^_^
